THE ART

"For my people, the Purepecha, the monarch butterfly is a sacred being. Every year it migrates north and returns on Dia De Los Muertos. Ancestors said the Butterflies are the spirits of the ones who left returning to spend time with the people. Migration is old as time and present as the air we breathe. This piece represents the innocence of life and its longing to be free. The connection of our bodies to the earth and our spirits to the sky. A butterfly in a jar is sentenced to death and a child in a cage is an abomination. Free our Kids"

THE CAUSE

Free Our Neighbors

Is a bond fund and community connector that partners with local community organizations and organizing groups to set up local bond funds where needed to pay immigration bonds and re-unite families who have been torn apart. They work on a nation-wide scale to direct resources to emergency cases and to assist in case of mass immigration raids.

Proceeds from Sana Sana's merchandise will go directly to Free Our Neighbors.
